I grew up in a small town in NC. In my day, art was not a career, it was a hobby. I did however, as a child enter and win awards for my art. Painted scenes for school. I also painted in 3 jobs as a young adult. Christmas products to NASCAR brakes and government vehicle parts.
Some time in my adulting I let Art fall by the wayside. After surviving stage 3 cancer, I do tell people I painted until I was healed. Having a lot of time, and online classes, it was time to sell my work! Eventually getting my work into a gallery, here in Pensacola, FL. Being in a gallery has spurred me to better my art skills and being along side of many artist certainly helped!
My husband is my #1 fan and supporter.. I have been painting now several years.
If someone would have asked me then if I was an artist, I would have denied it. Now I proudly wear that title as the Lord has blessed me so much being an artist. I feel like I am doing what I was created to do.
I've had my art in a gallery here in Pensacola, FL, over 2 years.
The future is hopeful! So, stay tuned to more of this wonderful Journey I am on. And just so you know, now I'm proud to tell someone that I'm a Professional Artist.

Never be too detailed, not to slow my process to a crawl, but to have energetic, loose brush strokes & small details at the end. I enjoy paint drips for depth, and cool transparent-dark colors to warm colorful opaques to finish.
I especially like impressionistic style paintings and some abstract- realism with a narrative that speaks to the heart & soul.
